Bonus post! Dip Hem & Checks

Hello all^^

This is just a random post, labelled OOTD but it isn't really! I've had this picture sitting in my library for a while but not been sure what to do with it. I quite like it though, so I wanted to publish it.

I was at a friend's house when I took this, we were messing around with outfit pictures and I had a sudden burst of inspiration - and I quite like the result! I think the studs, red check and dramatic skirt compliment each other quite well, and it's quite flattering. It's not something I would usually wear but Jaz has a vibrant sense of style and she always brings out quite a wild side in me when it comes to clothes!

How I Would Style...Peach Dip Hem Skirt!

Here's how I would style a peach dip hem skirt from dorothyperkins.com for work, play and party.

Work

I think this skirt would be office appropriate if teamed with a simple top and blazer. Grey and peach compliment each other nicely and a sharp black blazer, such as this one from Vivienne Westwood, would add a little edge to the outfit and make it more professional.

Play

This skirt would work well with white and cream, so I teamed it with some minimal cream pumps and a fun, unique white blouse. The black detailing is cute and I think this would be a great summer outfit.

Party

When you're dancing your heart out at a party or in a club, you don't want to be worrying about complicated outfits or dressing up to the nines - you want something simple but striking. Since this skirt isn't too long and is floaty, you shouldn't get too hot in it, which is great in a stuffy club. Team with a black cropped top and awesome nude platforms, and you have an easy, cute party outfit.

Current Obsession: Dip Hem

Hello everyone!

I just bought a dip hem skirt from hiddenclothing on eBay (£7.99+P&P) and I'm a little bit addicted to it! I love swishing it around and I feel very elegant in it^^

I would really love a pale pink dip hem skirt since I'm a girly girl and I love pale pink. I can dress this up or down and I think it's really versatile. I also find it quite flattering.
